Becoming a Client
We are pleased that you are thinking about becoming a client of our medical services.
To request medical, substance abuse, or dental care at the Westbrook Clinics, you will first need to be screened for eligibility by our staff, after which they can help you set up your first appointment. To request an eligibility appointment, in Harlingen, please call 956-428-2653 and to request an eligbility appointment, in McAllen, please call 956- 668-1149.
Once you become a client at the Westbrook Clinics, you can access a variety of services, including medical, dental, nutrition advice, case management and our pharmacy.
As a client of the Westbrook Clinics you will have certain rights and responsibilities. A copy of our Consumer Rights and Responsibilities is provided to every new client at the time of registration and forms the basis of the relationship between the Westbrook Clinic and each client we serve.
Comprehensive and Compassionate Medical Care
The Westbrook Clinics offer comprehensive and compassionate health care for all patients living with HIV/AIDS and includes preventative exams and care for chronic and urgent health issues. In addition to being experts in treating HIV, our medical providers have expertise in treating infectious diseases and chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and hepatitis as well as gynecology, prenatal care and pregnancy.
Your health care is offered in a culturally and linguistically competent and affirming environment and we welcome all persons living with HIV/AIDS.
For your convenience, we also offer an on-site pharmacy and laboratory (urine collection and blood-draw) services. By being able to address your various medical needs at one location, the Westbrook Clinics can be your one-stop shop for health care!
What to bring to your first visit:
- Your Health Insurance Card (if you have insurance)
- Your co-payment (if applicable)
- A list of medications that you are currently taking
- Your New Patient Intake Packet
If you do not currently have insurance, don’t worry. Our staff will evaluate you for potential insurance coverage and public health benefits.
Payment Options
The Westbrook Clinics accept Medicare, Medicaid, county indigent health plans, and private insurance. If you have private insurance, you may have a co-pay you must pay when you receive care. If you don’t have private insurance, our staff can help you with potential options. Payment is due at the time that services are rendered.
Clients can pay by check, credit card, debit card or cash. Payments should be made when you see your doctor.
Please note that no one is ever turned away for their inability to pay.
