Mary Alice began her career in Human Resources with Tropical Texas Center for MHMR in 1996 where she served as the Employee Relations Director and later Interim Director of Human Resources.
For the next 14 years, Mary Alice Directed Human Resources in the medical field (Home Health, Hospice and Medical Centers) where she developed stringent standards for continuous improvement. She also headed committees in preparation of successful Joint Commission Accreditations.
In 2010, Mary Alice (with the help of her husband), began a non-profit organization in child nutrition. As the Executive Director of that organization, Mary Alice served day care Centers from Brownsville to Laredo and all of South Texas.
While living in Houston, Texas, Mary Alice received an Associate’s degree in General Business. She then acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Cum Laude Honors from the University of Texas Pan American. And, in 2005, Mary Alice obtained her Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Management.
In 2013, Mary Alice was deemed a Master Trainer by the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System and the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Mary Alice “will be a life-long student”, as evidence by her numerous licenses and certifications.
Her education and experience will assist her in organizing and restructuring the Human Resources Department to assure state and federally compliance.
